 Half sleep this morning, I had a goofy short story idea; Two loofahs, one a pessimist, one an optimist, make friends while hanging next to each other in the store. A couple of years later, they end up next to each other again in a landfill and compare notes on their lives. Turns out the pessimist was purchased by a young super model named Svetlana with a large shower and a lot of friends and the optimist by a large sweaty trucker named Jimbo.

So a few years ago my daughter texted me with an idea and I responded the only way I know how...sarcasm. However my off the cuff response has stuck with me ever since and I can't help but think it would make a great tragic love story.  
 So a few months ago I saw a trailer for a new tv show that was very close to an idea for a story I'd started a while back and got stuck on. Now I don't want to finish it at all. Has this happened to anyone else? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HX3HVVM
 Here it is...the beginning of my blog. I suppose a little information about me is in order. I am a retired service member / veteran / musician who also loves to write. I have a lifelong love of reading and an overactive imagination. Naturally I've gravitated to writing.  I have just self-published my first book, " Nowonderland " on Amazon's Kindle platform. Inspiration came to me one day on the "thinking chair". I got to wondering what my version of a fantastical hidden world like Narnia, Wonderland, or Oz would look like and my head suddenly filled with ideas about what one might find there. Some of my ideas are loosely based from real life experiences, others...not so much. I'm quite happy with the result and I think that readers around 10 and up will enjoy. There's also some over -the-head humor that I think adults would enjoy as well.  It took me about three months to write and it came to me easier than anything else I've written yet. I alre
